Plus53 is the first Cuban Styles Academy in Malta, built around the academic study of five key Cuban dance pillars:
Afro-Cuban, Franco-Haitian, Popular Cuban Folklore, Cuban Modern Dance Technique, and Urban Cuban Styles.
We offer professional Cuban dance courses for all levels, from beginners to advanced dancers, who want to go beyond steps and truly understand the language of movement. Whether you want to dance solo, in couples, or in groups (choreographies and rueda de casino), this is the place to grow.

Prof. Famoso Salvador Rodriguez
Cuban Styles - Professor
Founder & Artistic Director Specialised in Afro-Cuban, Franco-Haitian, and popular Cuban culture. Creator of the FSR Method. Passionate about sharing authentic Cuban energy with every student.
Famoso Salvador Rodriguez is a certified Professor from Universidad de Oriente (International Relations Section) in Santiago de Cuba. He specializes in the methodology of teaching Cuban dance, with a clear mission: to help everyone discover and learn the cultural, musical, and dance roots of Cuba.
Over the past 10 years, Salvador has trained more than 500 professional dancers and is the founder of the FSR Method (Functional, Successful, Revolutionary), one of the most comprehensive approaches for developing any dance style.
During his five university years, Salvador not only cultivated his talent as a dancer but also developed a deep passion for spreading Cuban culture. He specialized in the art of teaching as a professor and choreographer, graduating with full honors as Professor, Dancer, and Choreographer in Afro-Cuban, Franco-Haitian dance, music, and culture.
In addition to his work as a dance educator, Salvador is also a Fitness Instructor with over 11 years of experience, focusing on body preparation and physical conditioning across multiple disciplines.
